I have been wanting to do this for a long time, and after scouring the net looking at "how to's" finally I have worked up the courage to take this mod on within the next few weeks. I am going to paint every thing except for the high beam reflector. To complicate things further, I also want to leave the front chrome rings around the lows to give some definition without having halos.... (an old member on lxforums did this and it looks great imo). When I finally do this I am also going to paint my chrome mirrors and the chrome on both the front and rear fascias. I was wondering if any members here have painted there own headlights and if you have any tips or secrets to make it go as smooth as possible? Gotta admit im nervous about baking expensive headlights....
Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't think it's against the law. I am going to keep the high beam reflector chrome as well. I have seen a bunch of the socal guys with painted headlights and I have never heard of it being a problem. I guess I will see.....
I am planning for something like this minus the halos and the welded eyelids:

unfortunately not part of the club yet, i was just showing that pic as an example, but hope to have it done soon. I am still debating whether I wanna take it on myself or have it done professionally.
