What is that from? Looks like the bottom part of a 90s silverado...

Tom: The device will be installed via a jack. I only need to jack up one side of the car to install. Taking my time to do it right shouldn't take but about 30-45 minutes to install. I have to double check when I get there, but I should be able to install at the hotel the night before and drive over to the air strip.

Tenderloin: Yeah, thought about the front grill, will most like try taping up the upper holes and seeing what it does, just have to be mindful of engine temps.

GO-SRT-GO: Not sure on the temp, that remains to be seen. In March it was cool in the AM, but by afternoon it had warmed up to the low 80's. Even if near 100 (I sure the hell hope no where near that hot) the time between runs should allow for the engine to cool down a bit. You stage to a lane, shut down. When your lane is up to the grid, you power up, drive to the grid and then shut down again. When the person two in front you exits the start box for their run, you power up and drive to the start box. Here you can leave it running or power down until the person next to you (would have been one in front of you) gets half way down the track. Sounds complicated, but not really. Of coarse, you always just leave it running when you take off from staging.

CarGuySkye: You sir are correct! It was just shy of a direct fit.

That mod looks so awesome.
By the way, what tires are on your Magnum in those pictures. Are they the same ones you will be using next month for the Mojave Mile?

Yes, same as last time too. Toyo Proxes 4, 275/40/20

Make sure your tires are W or Y rated. They do limit speeds based on driver and tire ratings. If you have F1's still, you're golden!

Yeah definitely tape the whole front end up including all the hood seams. I think this will give you the most gains, and definitely will be good bang for the buck. Tape is cheap!

I hear people talk about taping the front end. Is there a high risk of overheating and damaging the engine when you do this?
