Well... By taping the front end there have been reports of picking up MPH at higher speeds.
Now as far as overheating. Our cars are equipped with temp fans. They will come on at whatever temp you program. With the tape on your front end, your not allowing airflow into the engine bay. Hence the better top speed usually. I think with the temp fans on and operating properly. You should be fine. |

When I think of taping, I am not thinking of covering the entire grill. All gaps, cracks and seems on the front will get taped. I will play around with taping different sections of the grill, but unless temps are lower than anticipated, I will not tape the entire grill. This may not be wise given the way staging works.
I still have a couple more aerodynamic related mods that will be done to the Maggie for race day, so stay tuned for more mods!! |
