Yeah, I'll try and post a video about rock chips soon. I'll be posting a video about the wipers soon too. I just took some with my phone while it was raining when I was driving home.

Yes, shoot me an email to yungkang.li@gmail.com. If someone will find a tint shop they trust that has someone willing to learn how to do this. We will train that guy to install in your area. So far, we just have Hollywood in California has someone to do the install, and Vegas and Idaho. We are doing a lot in Utah so far because it closest for us to train and the highways here have been under heavy construction for the past 4 years. Rock chips are the least of the worries. Sometimes there are flying re-bar from cars hitting them just right and flinging them up.

I'm going to try talking to insurance companies to see if they will cover this under insurance install. Because this is all about helping people keep their cars safe.

Interesting... how thick is this stuff? It's stronger than glass? Does it get nicks in it like clear bras when rocks hit it? What about water spots? Can you use steel wool on it? Will the wipers eventually wear it? Can it come tinted?

It's about 4mm thick. Stronger that glass? Well, it's strong and it will definitely protect your glass. When rocks hit it, there will be nicks in it depending on the size of the rock. Not sure what your question on water spots is about. I wouldn't use steel wool on it. You can use microfiber towels, terry cloth towels, and squeegees to clean it. As long as you keep the wipers wet when you use to clean it, it will last a long time. It can't come tinted due to a lot of laws requiring windshield visability.

Here's the video with my phone and using my wipers with it. Sorry for the radar detector going off.

So about half the thickness of a 3M clear bra? How easily does it scratch? And does it get swirl marks? Wouldn't the wipers eventually create very small scratches that eventually become so many that it would be noticiable? Can you buff it?

Yeah. Scratch? Well, what do you plan on doing to it? lol! I scratched the surface of the Clearplex with my fingernails for about 20 seconds and nothing was marked up. I've just started this up about a week and no swirl marks. I've taken it through the auto machine car wash about 3 times this week to see how it stands up to the brushes and no marks there either. One of the things is to make sure to clean your wipers to get rid of debri that might stick on the wipers. This will make your Clearplex last longer. Also, to never dry wipe with your wipers. I understand you want to invest in something that you wouldn't have to replace. I ask my partner to see if he has tested this with some of his friends that have had the product on a little longer and see if they have had any of the issues you have mentioned.
