Default Question to CenCal about ext. light mods.

Dub Icon's post "Taking the Bus" (Sweet ride BTW) got me wondering, Does anyone know the laws around here for lights like that? Do you run 'em or just for shows? I had a kit like that and got pulled over all the time in KS. Thanx in advance.

You "SHOULD" be able to get away with white halos n maybe the amber bar.

this is true i run my whites all the time no problem but if i switch them to red then we are in for headaches. but no strobbing lights at all while in motion. blue or red lights as well are a huge no go especially in the front of your car.

I've run white CCFL halos since 2007 and never had 1 problem. I'm running RGB LED halos now run them white on the street.

I was in a funeral precession last week and ran red green blue flashing through San Francisco but we had motorcycle escort. :-)

most places you should be fine with solids that do not resemble cop lights....so not blues or reds...but green amber and purple should be good...

I ride my purples all the time, I have had cops look, turn the lights on, roll past my house, but never stop me for them. Then again I'm probably testing my luck.
