¿¿¿Vinyl stripes question???

I had vinyl stipes on my car but i reently took them off, One of the reasons was they were stained and chipping/cracking. I had them on about 18 months. They were silver though so staining and discoloration was more visible.

I used 3M premium vinyl... The whole car so...it bumped up the cost.
They do take wax well too.
