He felt better after dinner, but we have no way of knowing until he gets an offer letter. As many times as we've been thru buy-outs and transitions, you learn that just because upper management says nice things and all, none of it means anything until you get something in writing. So he took his telecommuting stuff (fax machine/printer, phones) with this morning to return and will be helping to clean out the office supply closet today.

The new company has their own office in San Mateo, so the office in San Jose is getting shut down whether Marc gets hired on or not. So this doesn't really mean much in terms of hints. I'm thinking that maybe just maybe, they'll hire Marc on as an SS which will translate to a pay raise. If it means he has to work from home more again, then we'll be seeing about a bigger apartment, or at least one with a better lay out.

Otherwise, it looks like business is picking up at his old job so he might be able to get hired back on there, but that could mean an eventual move to Denver. Then there's the prospect up in Reno, but that means a move to Reno or maybe Avaya could use a maintenance tech for SoCal/Vegas, but that means a move to. So this is about our last chance without having to go someplace else.
