It's going to be tough to wait to find out but, my only suggestion is to try not stress out too much about what you have no control over at this point. Now, having said that, I know how easy it is to say and not so easy to do. Keep faith and deal with what you have to now and the rest will fall into place...unless your a psychic, you won't know how things will fall out...I'm just saying try not to worry about what you can't control.

I think your "family" here will help you through this time of uncertainty.

Oh I know none of this is under my control or in my power to control/change. That's probably why I'm a mess about it. For the first time in my adult life, I'm dependent on someone else for my well-being and even with his 15 years in the business and the respect of his peers, managers, everyone, there's no guarantee of him not getting laid off when one company buys another. So I'm trying to just focus on what I can do, study hard and look after Madeline and help Marc keep his head on straight thru all this.

No news yet. The sales team is heading to Vegas for a convention on Wednesday, so the theory is that maybe there will be word when they come back. Trouble is, they're not back until late Friday. So Marc may not know whether he's still got a job until Monday. In the meantime he's making off with some office supplies and talking to former employers and coworkers about potential job openings.

Good news!! Marc just got an email from the new company's HR welcoming him and confirming he'll be starting on Monday. He'll be getting specifics tomorrow and set up with IT and all that by the end of the week! Yay!!! Now if I could just get some homework done.

Also, Marc talked to his old boss and he's hoping to have an opening for Marc sometime in the near future maybe. In the meantime, Marc's not unemployed and hopefully we'll have better benefits.
