Oh what a day...

Last night I was ticked as hell at Marc over a router. Now I'm scared to death and on pins and needles.

Marc went into work this morning because at least one of the owners of his company was flying in from Canada to visit the California HQ there in San Jose.

Well, I get a call from Marc around eleven that his division (California/US) is being sold to another American telcom company. He'd already done his exit interview and would be in and out of meetings all day about what all was going to happen. All he knew at the time I talked to him was that his last day under the current company is Friday the 12th. No idea whether he'd be kept on or what was going to happen.

He called back later to ask what I thought about him going out to dinner with his current boss and the new management. I said, go for it, suck up, do something. So now I get to wait and see how things went and hope to god this doesn't mean we're back in "oh sh*tsville" again.

Alright, he's on his way home. General vibe is that they're keeping everyone, but we won't know for sure until he gets an offer letter next week. To be continued...
