Tragedy doesn't care what or when it hits

The fun of the day was lost to my wife, Cathy, my daughter Meagan & I later in the evening, after the great show at Monterey. We were notified that my son-in-law, Jonathan Ruell was killed in a motorcycle accident in Madera about 10 PM last evening. He was 26, the father of a five year old boy, Seth and a 3 month old son, Degan.

It's hard to even remember how much fun was had earlier in the day. Thank you to all who were at HoJo's when we received the word. Your help and prayer were so very greatly appreciated.

Aside from two new grandsons, Degan, and my son Michael's new son, Conner, 2 months, I would have to say 2010 couldn't have been worse.

This loss kinda puts my recent medical problems in a different perspective.

Thanks CenCalLX for you past, current and future support and prayers for my family.

I'm so so sorry for your loss, Tom and Cathy. My prayers for you and your family and for your daughter and her children especially. Its tough not having a dad around, but at least they have you and their extended family to help them through this.

I stopped by and saw Tom and Cathy on the way home and I want to tell all of CenCalLX, that these two people want and NEED our prayers more than ever! They have had to deal with Tom's health issues for months now, and for any of you who have lost loved ones, the grief doesn't go away any time soon.

Please, please, PLEASE...lift them up in your prayers...especially Cathy, who has had to deal with the kids living at home while Tom has been ill. Right now they are putting on a brave face, but in those quiet moments is when the need to feel the peace assured them through the prayers of the faithful friends they have in this club family as well as their Madera area friends and family. Their daughter Megan and their grandsons will need to be lifted up to try to face the future minus a husband and father.

At times like this is when we need to step up as the "family" I feel everyone in CenCal has become! Let's be open to whatever we can do for them and each other!

I also propose, that as a show of support, as many of us as possible make plans to come to Madera for the Fall Finale 2010 on Saturday, October 9th.

Words can not express how sorry I am for your lose. I really do not understand why things like this happen.
