I purposely parked all the way out in the far corner of the lot practically hugging the curb away from everyone else and some ass either pulled up right next to me and hit my driver side passenger side door with his door or popped a chip off with a screw driver as it is hella deep of a chip and it's not up and down with a crease like mark like a typical door ding.
Still pissed 18 hours later... |

DUDE, that happens to me all the time, well not the chipping part, but I avoid everyone, park in the back, and why do people feel they just HAVE to park next to you? Do they think their cooler or something WTF! I sooo feel your anger, makes you wanna install cameras on the car, LOL I hope you can get it fixed without costing an arm and a leg. Any carts in the area? Probably a homeless guy jealous of your sweet ride..

my advise, and many will disagree...don't park way away from everyone else. When we do that people think, "who's this guy think they are...? Let's go screw with that car..."
I bet I hear about people "parked all the way out in the far corner of the lot" getting door dings and worse, more than i do from people just parking among the rest of the crowd. I try to stick to bigger spots or between nicer cars if i can. I try to pull in instead of backing in to blend in as much as possible. I am sorry to hear about the chip. My truck was hit by a semi truck once. I was parked in the middle of a parking lot. not a car within 50 yards or so. a coworker saw it happen and didnt tell me until he heard me moaning about it. luckily the damage was just a fender and bumper. I used to park with the crowd in my 2007 and I got dinged all the time... I figured this time I'd try parking away as much as possible... I guess I will have to find the 2 nice cars with an open spot route... I just don't see why people have to go to that length to mess with a persons car. Hell I see nice cars doing it all the time and find it a little funny but I understand why they do it... But I would never do something to thier car.
No shopping carts that far out in the great mall parking lot on the outback steak house side. |

Yeah, I typically look for the most expensive and cleanest looking car in the lot to park next to. Pretty easy in Pleasanton. I'm one of the first cars in the garage at work, so I just back into a space that's in direct line of site of the always manned security office with windows.

Actually at work people seem to respect my car more... Which I wouldn't think being that it's an airport parking lot... Usually the whole level could be full when I come out but both spots beside my car typically stay empty.. Just never out in public I guess...
Well I got 3 options... Patch and paint, wrap the car, or let it go... I'm thinking to have a body/paint shop patch and paint... Just need to find a nice place and save up some cash for it. I think eventually I will have a vinyl body wrap done then clear coat over it. Just need to save up for it. Was thinking to do the whole car in black carbon fiber with some black here and there to break up the carbon. Of course that's going to cost a pretty penny so no clue if and when this project will start. But I got a pretty badass design idea ![]() I guess whatever doesn't kill us only makes us stronger
