Default CenCalLX at the Texas Mile!?!? Maybe!

The Date: October 22-24, 2010

the Website: http://www.texasmile.net/index.php

The Information:

Okay, here we go.......I am seriously considering running the Texas Mile this coming October. One mile, no speed limit!

I will be putting together more information over the next month about my tentative plans to go with timelines etc.

If anyone else is interested in making the trip to participate, post up!!

Yes, I know it is a long a$$ trip just to run a mile drag race!

Pointless........maybe.

Fun.........without a doubt!!!

I know it still aways off, but I like to plan ahead! And, with this kind of trip, the earlier the better.

REGISTRATION:
October 22-24 - registration is not yet open.

TENTATIVE ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Drive from CenCal to Queen Creek, AZ.
A short distance off the main route, but it is a free nights stay (open to all who are traveling with me) and where I will meat up with my dad, load up to trailer the remaining distance and back. Actual day to be updated later.

October 22-24 - Hotel near by? Room share? Camp on-site? More information forth coming.

October 24 or 25 - head for home.

More to come!

Cool

Sounds intriguing! Southeast of San Antonio...long drive to potentially blow your engine or worse! Might be fun to watch folks put the pedal to the metal...

I would go but I would probably trailer the car in case of major meltdown

I'll be floating out at sea by then. You know I'd make the drive, otherwise, Boo loves to travel.

I will update post 1 with details as they become available.

So far, plan is drive to my dads just south of Phoenix and load up on his trailer for the rest of the trip.

Also may have an option to trailer from Merced, still looking into it.

Meltdown? Can't our cars handle a full mile of WOT?
Is this an event for newbies or seasoned racers only?
