Need Opinions on Shotgun Mount! - Page 2

ok maybe it's just me but....... Are you serious??? Why am I the only one about to ask wtf (in a good way)?? Is this a police vehicle? Are you or are you not Mad Maxxx?? LOL! All you guys are like "hell yeah" and "awesome" but i'm like thats awesome but is that legal?? Are you gonna drive around town with the shotgun actually mounted.......... I'm not tryin to poop on your party but I am in shock!!!!

haha. You should he hear the crap I'm getting for this on Lxforums. Yeah it is totally legal. And no its not a LEO vehicle. But it is completely legal. And no I'm not planning on being a Mad Maxx. Just with the luck my family has, the way the economy is, and the lack of Law enforcement I believe in protecting my family and belongings.

Oh and no, it wouldnt be in the car all the time. Think of it as a magnum version of a pickup truck gun rack.

Well it would still be cool for the record....... a mod is a mod! But your saying that you can legally drive down the road with the shotgun mounted there?

Yes you can. It's the same as the open carry laws for carrying a handgun in a holster on your hip. It is completely legal (unless its loaded). I'm getting mix reactions about it but I think I am going to put it along the door on driver side. More concealed that way.

I just read the 3 pages on lxforums about this and DAYUM! You got more flack from 2nd amendment supporters that anyone else. It seemed only a few folks knew where you were coming from. I thought you handled that BS very well. My assumption was that you did all of the requisite research before you posted.

I can see where some people are coming from, but its hard to keep your head up on something like this with so much BS over it. lol

Being a "gun enthusiast" my self I have to say "WOW!!". That being said, I am of the opinion that you and your family will be in trouble/danger long before you could get that rhino gun out and working against your attacker/assailant. More power to you though.

The operative words here are "open carry". If you conceal it then it's no longer in the open. Watch out, it's a VERY gray area here.
