Unhappy Painted radiator shroud blues

Went to install my painted shroud tonight, forgot to open the screw holes for the style of hardware(stainless button head 6-32 screws) I was using.OK so I taped the over holes ,opened them up to the proper sizes, removed the tape(supposed to be low adheasion type) and promptly peeled off the paint in 6 places. Now I have to try to sand reshoot color /clear and buff before SF.Not too happy right now,D.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the support and the (tarp) spray booth offer. I started to feather edge out the bad spots today after work, but I'm going to have to prime /sand/ prime to get the build up I need. Then I'm going to shoot it and try and blend it in with some 1500 grit and re clear,IF I can get a break on the weather . After SF I'm going to completely strip it and start over.Danny

Thumbs up shroud paint fixed

last night after I got home from detailing the car I primed and blocked the shoud on the damaged areas(worked on it till around 2am).Today I got a little break in the weather and was able to paint & clear it.I'll wait another day or so and buff it out and hopefully have it back on the car on wed (weather permitting),D.

Thumbs up Rad shroud installed

Finally got the shroud buffed out. I did'nt get to sand it w/1500 this time, so its not as smooth as the first time, but at least its on the car. I can always remove it and spend more time on it after SF,who knows the hood might never get opened dure to weather conditions...Everyone use the force and make it sunny!!,D.

Hey Danny use a heat gun or an oscillating heater to make it dry. Desperate times call for desperate measures. GL brother if you need a hand give me a call
