Default AACStyle Speaker Ring Halo Write-up

Hey everybody,
The little secret mod for Spring Fest was halos for the speaker rings on the doors for the Charger. Here's a little write-up for this project.

1. First you'll need a small drill bit, screwdriver, 16 gauge black and red wire, led flexible strips for speaker rings from AACStyle, and an adhesion pen.

2. You'll need to remove the screws at the bottom of the door panel.

The screw under the door handle grip.

And the screw behind the door handle.

Then remove a few of the clips that are along each side of the door.

3. When do pull the door out, you will need to disconnect the mechanism connected to unlock the door. You'll also need to disconnect the plugs for the power controls on the door.

4. Now when the door panel off, you can drill a little hole along the groove of the speaker ring. Just enough to fit the wires through the hole.

5. Peel the 3M backing off of the led strip. I found that the 3M isn't strong enough and I used the adhesion pen on the plastic of the groove and that made it easier to apply the flexible led strip.

6. You then can fish your wires through the door and in the cabin through this area.

7. Hook them up how ever you want and enjoy your new speaker ring halos.

Yellow would sweet on your car! There's a huge demand for yellow, I don't know why they don't make more of it.
