Power Overkill

So since battery died again this weekend, time to think about electrical upgrades. Spoke to a local shop at the car show about a second battery, they made a great recommendation on that. Going to get a 600amp capcell, and I am now thining of upgrading the alternator and wiring. From research our alternators are 140 or 160amp. Any thoughts or recomendations for a higher amp alternator that won't break the bank. Saw this one on ebay

That one on ebay is for a Chrysler 300 with 5.7....you want to make sure you get one to fit your charger engine or the mounts may not line up. They are not likely the same...just saying..

Look down a bit further it shows it works for 2.7 and 6.1!!!!

I checked part numbers for them and it brought up the same parts for all of them. Appears only difference is the amps.

Ok, they have 270amp alternator and it's the same for all engines. $550...
The big three is the alternator, wiring and battery right? That's what I'm doing.

AW yeah! MECHMAN! Im happy with mine. I got a 320 amp from them. I would call them because if im not mistaken they have 2 for our cars to choose from. And they dont even offer the 320 on the website. But as far as Batteries go I would look for a "AGM" dry cell. Odyssey PC2150 is what i use and they been real good to me.

Yea the battery I'm was recommended was an oddessy dry cell. I won't be pushing nearly as much power as you so I doubt I will need a 320amp one.
