When I did my rear wheels on my truck and "fixed" my front wheels, I used tape to mask off the tires. When I went to peel the tape up, some of the plastidip stuck to the tape and started to peel up off the rim with the tape. I had to make sure I was careful and used a razorblade to keep the plstidip from being peeled away from the rim with the tape. Which is part of the reason I now have to fix my front rims again. When i did my spare tire, I just sprayed it on without masking anything, and as Dustie said, the overspray just peeled right off the tire and wasn't joined to any on the rim.

That sounds easy enough, I used the cards and it worked great no mess at all
