Is this the part that breaks when you have to much juice/HP and traction off the line?

Question

Can anyone help me understand the benefits of an R/T owner doing this kind of upgrade?? I know with my six speed, I have the TrakPak package and it is supposed to have 2.92 gears now, I think. I'm not an upgrade officianado and I would really like to understand why this could be a wise move .

The axle is what breaks but this is a stock part so it will probably break again. Good upgrade for an 5.7 lx.

You have 3.92 gears. Your axles, gears, and diff are better. This is a great deal for a 5.7 lx for upgraded axles and gears. Plus they're almost brand new.

Thanks, Hector. I meant to type "3.92".....one of these days I will have to study up to know exactly what that means as far as the driving goes!
