CenCal Family,
So I'm in the Market for a CAM. Hope to get it by the end of the year and installed by early next year. ![]() So what is good out there.? Need one for a daily driver, I'm no where close to a gear head, but I'm tryin to learn. I saw one on LXforums "PPP Track Warrior Cam" used for $250, this good for a used cam? (less than 7000 mile on it, so told) Help a brotha out! Rob

That is a good cam but you really need to be aware of the wear and tear that a used cam may have. Used cams can be "great deals" or "great big headaches".

Robert, there really are a lot of them. Most have good results and some would benefit from head work. I suggest that you go over to LXF and search the engine/performance forum. Lots of information there. That's how I got started with my build. Look for "Inertia Motorsports", "PWR", "ModernWarfare Performance" (Franks Racing), "Arrington", "HHP", "Howards Cams", etc.
What I did was PM Mike Hughes (dacaman12) over on LXF. He is a cam designer/grinder at "Howards cams". I sent him what mods I had and what I was looking for and he sent me back a list of cams that would fit my needs. I ended up with a cam custom ground from Howards that fit what I wanted exactly.

x2 what Bill said ^^^
I have an Inertia Motorsports SRTMaxx cam in mine and it does well as a daily driver, but there are many company's and cams out there. A little research can go a long way. Another important note: if you are even remotely considering heads, do it at the same time as the cam since you have to tear into the top end anyway.
