I just got my Charger last Thursday, this is the 1st of many upgrades to come. . Next big mod I would like to do is the SRT hood, CAI and Throttle body spacer. Can anyone tell me if the Throttle body spacer is worth getting?Below is what I have found so far, if anyone can give me any info of any other products that are better please let me know. I don't want to put a damper on your wonderful enthusiasm of new ownership and modding. But, since you asked, I'm going to mention that I would be very careful about choosing any Duraflex body parts which are made by Extreme Dimensions (located in So Cal). (CarID is just one of their third party distributors of the product.) On other vehicle forums (including LXF), you will find terrible fitment issues being discussed (w/pics) regarding their Duraflex body kit parts. Apparently the bumpers are the worst. The warranty/customer service behind the product is also lacking. Personally, I would not purchase the Duraflex body kit parts. (I even read that the hood requires pins to keep it down because of its light weight) All I'm saying is do your homework about the Duraflex products. Hope others can chime in if they have personal experience. |

@Bruno
Not a prob at all thats why Im glad Im here, Im open to to learn whatever I can to keep my car running and looking good. Ive heard a couple things about fit so thats exactly why I wanted to question it before I made a purchase. It was the cheapest one around but I guess you do get what you pay for. As of now I have a bit to spend on mods so if I have to spend more to get better quality then of course I will but I would like to get the most bang for my buck, with that being said the next hood on my list was from TruFiber Ram Air SRT8 Hood 06+ Charger any pro/cons I should know about? I would also like to take full advantage of the ram air, still up in the air about which CAI to purchase as well, any cons with the Airaid system? Last edited by RT Mobbin; 01-28-2012 at 03:13 PM. |
