Default Irvine's Finest

Since this is my first trip to SF, just wondering if the local Irvine law enforcement uses this gathering as a new revenue stream, tagging people with illegal mods (tint, exhaust, no front license place - my only offense).

They weren't pulling over tons of people at the previous events, but they do have a strong presence so I would caution against any um, stupid stuff like leaving tire tracks or excessive noise and the like.

That and its just out of respect for the local guys and everyone who worked to make this event happen so we can do it again. I'd hate to see it get this big and then implode because a few idiots decided to ruin it for everyone. Not talking about CenCal, just in general. I don't wanna have to twak anybody when they get back.

Like stated above, if you make it obvious, they will be there. This would not be the place to do the 100 foot burnout (unless you're in a corolla with the pedal stuck).

In other words, they are just waiting for us to prove how stupid they think we are. It's our task to fustrate them by showing then how smart we are..

With the ecomony being the way it is now, I believe all jurisdictions have put the word out to help with revenues any way they legally can. They've tightened up enforcement around here, can't see why it would be any different there.

Be careful!.......I'm sure they'll be looking.

Ditto what has been said, especially by T. After attending the past 4 Spring Fests, I can tell you that they know we are coming and what to expect. Our leaders do their best to include the IPD as part of the event because of their low tolerance to what you asked. Be cool, be respectful, and no showboating. You'll be fine. The heavily tinted windows could be an issue but not if you stick around the hotel or keep them down as it's going to be very nice and warm.

If you're going to Beach Burgers on Thursday evening, the HBPD are exactly the same. Hmmm, exactly like my own PD here in Clovis. Honestly, I prefer it this way. Now, go and enjoy!

Wasn't planning any crazy stuff, but some PDs are known for going above and beyond, in a not so positive way.

My front windows are at 35% (50% is legal in CA) so I will keep them down as much as possible on the moves from DT to the show site. Front license is the only other problem I could see!

Last year leaving the show heading back to the hotel a cycle cop oncoming stared us down and flip a u turn as we passed, thinking I would be pulled for no license plate and dark tint he pulled the 300 behind me insted, ended up talking to the guy back at the hotel said he got pulled over for tinted taillights but was only given a warning since he was from out of state.I have to belive if it wasn't for him it would have been me getting pulled over.I can tell you we were the only two cars on that block and definetly not show boating, just luck of the draw I guess.

That's what I'm concerned about is my windows and no front plate but were not planning on going out anywhere , just hanging around the hotel.
