Mojave Mile - April 10, 2011

That right! It's time to get in gear and start planning to attend the self proclaimed "fastest mile in the west"

The Mojave Mile will run on Sunday, April 10, 2011.

Entry fee to participate will be a nominal $179.

New rules will be posted, but don't worry! I got your back! I will be the point person on rules and clarification of said rules for the Auto 1 class. This is the class that does not require a roll bar.

OH SNAP!!! It just got even better for you power adders! The speed limit has been raised to a sizzling 170 MPH with room for a 5 MPH break out! That's a staggering 175 MPH potential you have there without getting a spanking from the race organizers!

So, who's going to brave the 12,000 foot runway and put there name on list mile shoot-out participants.

If you don't want to race, you can still come out spectate or offer some help to the racers and perform minor pit duties, video, photography etc.

Oh....and don't tell anyone I told you this, but you don't have to have a SRT or RT to participate. Why last March there was a late 50's early 60's bug that threw down a speed of 72+ MPH!

It's about the thrill of having that throttle pegged to floor for about 30 Mississippi's!

So Epic...what was the minimum tire tread requirement again? I had my car serviced yesterday and they said my tread was at 5/32. I still need to go buy a tread gauge myself and double check.

2/32 is minimum. You need to inspect sidewalls to make sure there are no cracks in them.

What is the fee to spectate/ pit crew ?
We will most likley race at the speedway the night before.
