Default Mojave Mile- 2012

It's official: The 2012 event dates for the Mojave Mile are May 5-6, and Sept. 29-30.

We are also announcing a new event, the Mojave Magnum, on June 2-3. This is a 1.5 mile event with unique rules, and will be detailed on a separate thread in these forums.

**That’s right – standing-start, flat out speed, as fast as you can go in ONE MILE!**


***If any of you are interested in this, please PM me your email addresses so you can be put on their email list for all the up to date rules, registration info and forms.***

UPDATE: (2/4/12)

Registration for the May Mojave Mile event to open on Feb 15, 2012. By then, the online program will be up and visible to everyone, giving all of you a fair shot at scoring those nice early Grid slots for Saturday.

Prices for the Mile events are nearly the same as last year. The entry fee for a vehicle and driver/rider is $349 for the weekend, with additional drivers/riders paying $299. We won’t be offering any Sunday-only vehicle entries this year.

I'm interested Tom, but won't be back until the end of the month and will need to get my email set back up before I get put on a mailing list. Would rather have it go to my personal email than my work email. Hopefully the truck will run better after the rebuild and I can run in this. Would love to see how it can do.

I'm gonna wait and see if I can qualify under the unique Magnum rules!
Time to start saving for the entry fee.
1.5 miles at WOT...I think I feel my Hemi getting a Semi, lol!

hahah .. ok

Tom since u went there once .. what is needed for car saftey other than a helmet and a harness .. coz im pretty sure that i wont be adding a roll cage in the car .. and for pwr .. im going to be Cammed, Heads and LT's .. and for sure tuned .. will that be an issue coz i have been reading last years rules and somewhere it stated OEM .. im like uh whats that :P please clarify if u have the time .. mucho mucho thanks buddy

I ran last year with predator tune. Safety is the big issue. It's also based on your speed. If you are a street car expecting to run 170 or below (mile run) you dont need roll bar or fire suit. They really look at tire size and condition. We can all talk more at the next meet n greet. My best mile speed running stock with predator 91CAI tune was 153.
