Smile Charger alignment questions & updates

For those of you that have lowered your car with springs /coilovers,were you able to get the car aligned closely enough without going to adjustable control arms and rear bushings? If you did have to go that route what brand kit did you use and can you recommend somebody in the north bay( Napa Ca.) who is knowledgable enough to do the alignment (and possible part install).Took the car to a local shop ,they had it on the rack for over an hour and 90 bucks later, the specs were'nt any better than when they started,D.

I think the alignment all depends on the amount of drop from the kit you have. If you have it lowered alot then youll have to get the adjustable pieces since there is no way to change the camber on our cars without them. I dont think they are that hard to install though if you want to do it yourself. Maybe there is a writeup over on one of the other forums.

Once you get them installed any shop should be able to do the alignment but i dont have any recommendation on a specific one since that isnt my area.

I agree. Wouldn't recommend installing the camber kit for the rear yourself unless your sure you have the correct tools. I went with the Eibach kit as it's the same as SPC but a little bit cheaper. Don't know where your located but Ditos Motors in S. San Francisco can do the job.

Thanks Guys, after doing some research I found out that there is no adjustment for camber/caster on our cars. WTH was Chrysler thinking when they designed our suspensions? Anyway had I known this when I had the suspension apart,I would have had the alignment parts and installed them . Consider this a lesson learned in LX suspensions. I'm in the Vallejo-Napa area ,but I have considered taking the car to Ditos, D.

I installed the SPC upper control arms on my ride about two years ago, and they're great.

The install isn't hard at all. Maybe a number 6 on a scale of 1-10.

Ken, yeah it should'nt be to hard, I did the suspension install by my self over a weekend. I just wish that I would have had these parts when the suspension was all apart the first time. I'm still on a learning curve with the LXs,got too used to working on B-bodys with big blocks over the years . Steve, I'll see you early Saturday, good job on getting the lot of us to go!,D
