So I finally got of work alil early friday and was able to get over the auto body shop to get a cost quote to powder coat my rims. They say $70 bucks a rim. Is that good?

Make sure its actually powder coat though and not paint... most body shops will just paint the wheels, not powder coat them.

When I was looking like two years ago, everyone was wanting $100+ per wheel for 17" wheels.

70 is about going rate. Modesto Powder Coat does a ton of items for the club.

Problem with powder coating calipers is you have to FULLY disassemble the caliper, otherwise when they heat it, it could ruin the seals. Thats why most places wont even do calipers. But if you do plan on doing the calipers a candy blue, i'd do the SRT part that same candy blue also.

A word on powdercoating: Make sure that whatever socket you use to R&R the lug nuts will have room to go on after the powdercoating. If the socket is even close to be a snug fit, the powdercoat will possibly make it too tight. I found out with my first powdercoat experience that you have to make sure the coater doesn't do the inside of hex head bolts, or you end up spending lots of time chipping out powder to get the hex keys to fit!
